Man this guy belongs on a WWE promo from the 90’s. That’s all I see when he talks. He’s standing in front of some elaborate backdrop and Mean Gene Okerlund is just sitting there holding the microphone letting him do his thing. Matter of fact that’s who he reminds me of, the Black Ted DiBiase. But for whatever reason, we can’t stop talking about him. I have a feeling he doesn’t have too much of a problem with that.
Whether you love him or hate him (and believe me, it’s one of the two. No middle ground with this guy), the fact remains that he draws some type of emotion out of you. To me personally, he just kind of exists but to many others, he’s either a hero or a villain. I can see how he can be difficult to root for. He’s loud, boisterous, arrogant, sometimes disrespectful and quite frankly comes off as a big jerk. For some reason, people can’t manage NOT to focus their energy on him. He is a great entertainer in the age of entertainment. Trust me ESPN, Fox Sports and all these there networks wouldn’t have him on if people weren’t watching.
I don’t know him to say I don’t like him as a person but I definitely have some reservations about some of the things he’s said. He’s very brash and that’s tough for a lot of people to look past. One thing for sure and two things for certain is that Lavar Ball doesn’t care. He can’t afford to if he wants to make a billion dollars. Whether this is his true personality or not, he’s using it to his advantage. People love controversy and he’s creating plenty of it. He’s got the masses all figured out and he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Might as well get comfortable and enjoy the ride.
To wait for Lavar Ball to close his mouth is an exercise in futility. We’ve got at least until LaMelo gets to the league for this to be over. And even after that, Lavar will be here. Big Baller Brand will be here. the ZO2’s will be here. Just get used to it. You don’t have to like it and as a matter of fact if you don’t like it, the best thing you can do is ignore it.
