The Boston Celtics might have been in the NBA Finals last year if not for Kyrie undergoing season ending knee surgery in March. While Terry Rozier filled in nicely during Irving’s absence, the Celtics looked disjointed and void of leadership in a deciding Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. But it looks like Kyrie is ready to get back to business. He was in the gym recently with James Harden and Kevin Durant and looked like he hasn’t missed a beat, playing at full speed with no restrictions.
I’m sure Kyrie feels like he has some unfinished business to tend to. With LeBron heading West, Gordon Hayward returning from injury and the young tandem of Tatum and Brown getting better by the day, the Celtics are definitely in the driver’s seat to represent the Eastern Conference in next year’s NBA Finals. It’s going to be an interesting year indeed. Flip the page to see these guys going at it.
