Conor McGregor Should Leave the UFC and This is What He Should Do Next

Conor McGregorConor McGregor is set to participate in possibly the biggest fight in UFC history next month. Once you factor in his purse for the fight, all potential bonuses and any other fringe benefits, McGregor stands to make about $50 million. The last time he fought he made $100 million. Coincidentally, that was in a boxing ring. He has been the biggest draw for the promotion for years and easily one of it’s biggest stars ever. Conor needs to move to a space where he can maximize his profitability based of his performance and persona.

Many thought he would turn to boxing full time after the huge payday from the Mayweather fight. That wouldn’t be a bad move. He would make much more money in boxing. He would not be exposed to as much punishment. And honestly, he’s pretty damn good. But still, that’s not his best move. The Notorious One should follow his former UFC compatriots, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar, and head to the WWE. Conor is the perfect WWE heel and the branding and spike in popularity that would come with that could be extremely lucrative for the Irish fighter. And I’m sure it would be nice to get away from the brutal nature of combat sports. Don’t get me wrong, the WWE is just as physically demanding but at least the guy across from you isn’t trying to give you brain damage.

I’m sure Vince McMahon would welcome him with open arms. McGregor is perfect for wrestling. Can you imagine those promos? He’d be the greatest on the mic since The Macho Man Randy Savage.  He already has the following and with the WWE’s massive reach, I have no doubts it would grow exponentially. Anyway, it’s just a thought. Should it come to fruition though, I want my cut. Go to the next page to see McGregor doing what he does best (besides fight that is).
